Counselling that is right for you

Couples work will involve both partners being in therapy. We will work as a team to understand your relationship, with an emphasis on attachment style and communication. We will be exploring childhood wounds and family construct, which will be the foundation of your relationship blueprint. Once we understand your relationship style, we can start to deconstruct any old limiting beliefs, which affect your relationship. We will work together to create healthier communication and ways to express your unmet needs.
I use a combination of tools, including Imago, CBT and creative methods.

As a therapist, I will be working with relationship patterns, looking at attachment. We will explore how you communicate in a relationship and the difficulties you could be facing. You may, want to explore current relationships or previous partners, friendships and family. I do use creative tools in my work, which enables a deeper understanding of self.

Sex therapy, I am currently completing a Masters in Psychosexual Therapy and can offer sessions, at a reduced rate until qualified. Psychosexual therapy looks at sexual problems in a relationship. The process consists of us looking into your sexual history and any sexual difficulties from the past. We work to create a jigsaw of the issues, the couple, has and have had in the past, to understand what is happening now.
It can be difficult to communicate with our partner if we are having sexual problems such as erectile dysfunction, vaginismus and desire discrepancy. I work with a range of common themes including
Gender and sexuality, desire and arousal issues, E.D., early ejaculation EE and sex-related pain. Kink and fetishes.
Please be aware, sex therapy follows an assessment process to see if it is a correct fit for you as a couple.

I’ve worked as a supervisor for many years and work with counsellors, who work with children, adults and couples. As a creative supervisor I provide a confidential space to explore work and the emotional impact it could be having on you. Working with an empathetic, non-judgemental discussion and with the use of active listening and reflectiveness to work through your own processes around your workload.
I use creative tools in supervision to allow a deeper level of connection, I find that the use of creative methods, help when a supervisee is stuck in a situation.
You will be encouraged and held to look at counter transference, parallel processes and any ethical dilemmas you could be facing. In the first session we will contract together and decide on the session’s boundaries, which will be underpinned by confidentially.
